Mary Ann Ponds, 73, of Ethelsville, AL passed away Monday, September 19, 2016, at her residence.

A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, September 24, 2016, at 2:00 PM in the Lowndes Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Kenny Gardner officiating and Lowndes Funeral Home directing.

Mrs. Ponds was born March 3, 1943, to the late Madeline Lermineau Ponds and Andrew Ponds in Beaverdale, PA.  She moved to Ethelsville from Johnstown, PA in 1961 and was a devoted homemaker for her family. Mrs. Ponds loved farming on her land, especially picking peas. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her sister-Madeline Teresa Ponds.

Mrs. Ponds is survived by her husband-Wesley Ponds, Sr.; sons-Wesley "Buster" (Delilah) Gordon, Ponds, Jr, and Donnie Stephen Ponds, both from  Ethelsville, AL.; daughter-Karen (Guy) Ponds Naquin, Slaphot, AL; 9 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren.
