Mary Elizabeth Power, 85 of Columbus, MS passed away Tuesday, September 16, 2014 at her residence. A private Memorial Service will be held at a later date. Mrs. Power was born November 5, 1928 in Hudson Falls, NY to the late George and Katherine Nolan. She moved to Lowndes County twenty-two years ago from Holland, Pennsylvania. Mrs. Power was a member of Annunciation Catholic Church and a homemaker. Mrs. Power is survived by her husband of sixty-three years-Irving C. Power, Columbus, MS; children-Stephen C. (Peggy) Power, Brandon, MS, Lorie J. (Edwin) Land, New Orleans, LA, Janet C. (Gary) Hefel, Reynoldsburg, OH, Brian D. (Laura) Power, Columbus, MS, Karen P. (Alan) George, Pierce City, MO, Georgia (Alan) Whitmire, Caledonia, MS and James J. (Tina) Power, Langhorne, PA; 17 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
