Mary Charles Pridmore, 88, of Columbus, MS passed away Wednesday, February 10, 2021, at her residence.
A graveside service will be Friday, February 12, 2021, at 2:00 PM at Mt. Vernon Cemetery with Bro. Jimmy Ray officiating and Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS directing.
Mrs. Pridmore was born on June 12, 1932, in Pickens County, AL to the late Nona Holliman Stokes and Lester Ray Stokes. She was a sunday school teacher for over 40 years at Mt. Vernon and McBee Baptist Church and was a devoted Christian that prayed hard for those she loved. Mrs. Pridmore was an avid reader, loved traveling. She loved her husband, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Mrs. Pridmore's favorite past time was playing spinner or dominos. She was the owner of the Uniform Center in Columbus, MS for many years.
Mrs. Pridmore is survived by her husband of 71 years- James Hubert Pridmore of Columbus, MS; daughters- Melinda (Chuck) Farmer of Columbus, MS, Sandra Camp of Columbus, MS; Son- Steve (Candy) Pridmore of Northport, AL; grandchildren- Shannon Gray, Stephanie Fitts, Leah Edmondson, Brent Camp, Drew Pridmore, and Andrea Posey; great-grandchildren- Evan Gray, Preston Fitts, Olivia Fitts, Amelia Posey, and Jaxson Pridmore; sister- Carolyn Foster, and brother-Bruce Stokes.
Pallbearers will be Brent Camp, Drew Pridmore, Mike Gray, David Fitts, Butch Edmondson, and Kyle Posey.
