Mary Janice Rider, 72, passed away Monday, July 13, 2015 at her residence in Columbus, MS. A Celebration of Life will be at her residence on Sunday, July 19, 2015 at 2pm. Mrs. Rider was born July 19, 1942 to the late Edward Lee Watt and the late Geneva Young Watt in Brooksville, MS. She worked as an assembly worker for United Technologies in Columbus, MS for 20 years where she retired in 1997. She enjoyed going to the casino and playing horseshoes; and she loved her flowers and fellowshipping with family and friends. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Rider is preceded by her daughter Cissy Adair. Mrs. Rider is survived by her husband- Jimmy D. Rider, Columbus, MS; her children- John Wayne Boykin of Brooksville, MS, Tina Boykin Ivy of Columbus, MS; and Janet Redmond of Bridge City, TX; her sister-Shirley Bragg of Columbus, MS; and her brothers-Howard Watt, Henry Watt, and Edward Watt, all of Columbus, MS; and her grandchildren-Jamie Redmond, Maegan Ivy, Lauren Ivy, Jason Redmond, Jr., Jaiden Redmond, and Jaxson Redmond.
