Mary Nell Sprouse Mary Nell Sprouse, 84 of Columbus, MS passed away Monday, September 26, 2011 at her residence. Visitation will be held Wednesday, September 28, 2011 from 2 PM – 3 PM at Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, September 28, 2011 at 3 PM in the Lowndes Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Tommy Gillion officiating. Interment will be in Memorial Gardens, Columbus, MS with Lowndes Funeral Home directing. Mrs. Sprouse was born September 27, 1926 in Bruce, MS to the late Willie and Pearl Parker. She was a resident of Columbus, MS for the past forty-three years having moved from Sarasota, FL. She was previously employed in retail sales having retired in 1986. Mrs. Sprouse was a member of Fairview Baptist Church, Columbus, MS. She is preceded in death by her first husband, William Ballard and children, Joann Friedrichsen and Robert H. Ballard. Mrs. Sprouse is survived by her husband, Ed Sprouse, Columbus, MS; two sons, Randy (Sandy) Ballard and William Douglas Ballard both of Columbus, MS; four sisters, Ila May Turner, Bruce, MS; Lonnie Parker, Bruce, MS; Syble (Johnny) Aven, Calhoun City, MS; Billie (Doc) Bailey, Pensacola, FL; Jane Bryant, Bruce, MS; six grandchildren, Craig Friedrichsen, Todd Friedrichsen, Eric (Kandace) Ballard, Hayley Ballard, Brandy Jones and Blake Ballard and three great grandchildren, Micah Jones, Jade Jones and Kya Ballard. Pallbearers will be Billy Crossley, Adrian Rogers, Bill Plyler, John East, L.C. McGee and Blake Ballard. Honorary pallbearers will be Staff of Gentiva Home Health and Hospice and Silvia Richardson.
