Matthew David Alan Hammerbacher, 31, of Oxford, MS passed away Wednesday, March 30, 2021, at his residence.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Mr. Hammerbacher was born on November 9, 1989, in Kalamazoo, MI to Cathy Felmlee Hammerbacher and Brian Hammerbacher. He graduated from Heritage Academy in 2008, then attended EMCC and Mississippi State University. Mr. Hammerbacher enjoyed bowling, playing chess, golfing, and table tennis. He enjoyed watching SEC sports, NFL, and college football. Mr. Hammerbacher loved spending time with his many friends and will be missed by many family and friends.

Mr. Hammerbacher is survived by his father- Brian Hammerbacher of Columbus, MS; mother- Cathy Felmlee Hammerbacher of Columbus, MS; brother- Christopher (Alexandra) Hammerbacher; sister- Ashley (Christopher) Lemieux; grandmother- Dorothy Hammerbacher; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
