Matthew Long

Matthew Jay Long, 54, of Columbus, MS passed away Thursday, December 25, 2025, at his residence.

Visitation will be Tuesday, December 30, 2025, from 10:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. at Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS. Memorial Service will be Tuesday, December 30, 2025, at Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS, with Bro. Jerry Allen officiating. Lowndes Funeral Home is entrusted with all arrangements.

Mr. Long was born on November 2, 1971, in West Point, MS to Zelda Sue McGarity Wyrick and the late Jimmy Larry Long. His favorite thing to do was collecting cars.

Mr. Long is survived by his son- Matthew Long; daughter, Kristen Jolly; grandchildren, Konner Jolly, Kobe Jolly, Bradley Chance Long, Lakelyn Long, Matthew Walker Long, and Silas Ridge Long; brother, John Stacy Long; sister, Terry Sullivan; and mother, Zelda Sue McGarity Wyrick.
