Merle Hallam Riggle, 67 of Columbus, MS passed away Monday, May 27, 2013 at his residence. Funeral services will be held at a later date. Mr. Riggle was born April 28, 1946, in Dallas, TX to the late Merle Hallam Riggle, Sr. and Waller Pierce Riggle. He was a resident of Columbus, MS since 1989 having moved from Hendersonville, TN. Mr. Riggle retired as an air craft mechanic with the U.S. Air Force after 23 years of service. He was a member of the American Legion #69 and loved motorcycle riding and helping others. Mr. Riggle is survived by his wife - Pearl Grace Riggle, Columbus, MS; step-children - Denice C. King, Tampa, FL, Dennis E. (Lynne) Burks, Mountain Home, ID, Chloe G. (Tom) Steininger, Zemmer, Germany, Mary K. (Jim) Nossett, Huachuca City, AZ, Sharon M. (Greg) Alexander, Columbus, MS, Shana Riggle, and Micha Riggle; sister - Karen Kilgore, Gallatin, TN; brother - John Riggle, Dallas, TX; grandchildren - Nick King, Sean King, Chris Burk, Jenni Andrews, Thomas Bettis, Kim Neu, Amanda Michell, Serigo Michell, Kristy Alexander, Sherrie Alexander; great-grandchildren - Kadin Diaz, Devin Diaz, Brody Andrews. Honorary Pallbearers will be Malcolm Parker, Johnny Kelly, Carl Locke, Phil Long, Cheezeburger (Greg) Jackson, Steve Douglas, Dennis Burks, and Dyncorp unscheduled 38 maintenance crew.
