Michael Ray Cantrell, Sr., 59, of Columbus, MS passed away Thursday, March 19, 2015 at Aurora Nursing Home, Columbus, MS. Visitation will be Monday, March 23, 2015 from 12:00-2:00PM at Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS. A funeral service will follow at 2:00PM in the Lowndes Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Bob Burch officiating. Interment will follow in Botter's Cemetery, Caledonia, MS with Lowndes Funeral Home directing. Mr. Cantrell was born June 27, 1955 in Aberdeen, MS to Dellie Ray McCraw Cantrell and the late Harold Junior Cantrell. He loved his family, horses and two dogs - Little Boy and Little Girl. Mr. Cantrell loved attending auctions and flea markets and collecting various antique items. He also loved camping, going to the river, fishing, and listening to country music. In addition to his father, Mr. Cantrell is preceded in death by his sister - Marilyn Ann Cantrell. In addition to his mother, Mr. Cantrell is survived by his daughters - Beverly (Terry) Taylor, Steens, MS, Rebecca (Rodney) Lester, Caledonia, MS and Stephanie (Benny) Cantrell, Caledonia, MS; son - Michael (Amber) Cantrell, Jr., Caledonia, MS; brothers - Clyde Junior Cantrell, Mark Anthony (Maria) Cantrell, and Harold Eugene "Gene" Cantrell; sisters - Wanda Gail "Tootie" (Lonnie) Nickoles and Tanya Lee (Lee) Vickers; grandchildren - Terry Lee Taylor, Jr., Makayla Ann Taylor, Tiffany Michelle Lester, Roy Allen Lester, Jr., and Alana Grace Cantrell; and a host of nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Steven Cantrell, Bubba Cantrell, Michael Nickoles, Terry Taylor, Jr., Bobby Edwards, Jr. and Bruce Bradley.
