Mike Geer, 59 of Caledonia, MS passed away on Wednesday, January 7, 2009 at Jewish Hospital, Louisville, KY.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, January 13, 2009 from 7 ? 9 PM at Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, January 14, 2009 at 2 PM at Steens Church of Christ, Steens, MS with Mr. Don Randolph officiating. Interment will be in Furnace Hill Cemetery, Lamar County, AL with Mr. J. M. Hawkins leading in prayer at graveside and Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS directing.

Mr. Geer was born on March 6, 1949 in Columbus, MS to the late Murris Hinton Geer and Sue Lollar Geer and was a lifetime resident of Caledonia, MS. He retired after 35 years as a self-employed import auto mechanic and was a member of the Steens Church of Christ, Steens, MS. In addition to his parents, Mr. Geer is preceded in death by his niece, Jennifer Gilliam.

Mr. Geer is survived by his wife - Yvonne Geer, Caledonia, MS; sons ? Marty (Kelly) Geer, Louisville, KY; John Geer, Caledonia, MS; sister ? Debbie (Art) Mangolas, Richmond, VA; brother - Mahlon (Terry) Geer, Columbus, MS; three grandchildren ? Jenna Geer, Caledonia, MS; Tyler Geer, Caledonia, MS; Matthew Geer, Louisville, KY and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Pete Bowen, Charles Atkins, Bob Atkins, Andy parker, David Ashmore and Dwight Cumberland. Honorary Pallbearers will be Dr. Morris Weiss, Louisville, KY and Dr. Michael Duckworth, Columbus, MS.
