Mildred Keen Mildred Keen, 86 of Millport, AL passed away Wednesday, May 16, 2012. Visitation for Mrs. Keen will be Friday, May 18, 2012 from 6 - 8 PM at Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS. A graveside service will be Saturday, May 19, 2012 at 2 PM at Hamrick Cemetery, Collinsville, MS with Bro. Charlie Whitney officiating and Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS directing. Mrs. Keen was born August 27, 1925 in Union, MS to the late Walter and Betty Killen Scitzs. She had been a resident of Millport, AL for the past 20 years having moved from Collinsville, MS. Mrs. Keen was a member of Collinsville Baptist Church, Collinsville, MS. Her life was devoted to her family, especially her grandchildren. She worked as an associate for Wal-Mart in Columbus, MS up until her retirement in 2008. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Keen is preceded in death by her husband - Isaac Devon "Dee" Keen. Mrs. Keen is survived by her daughter - Joyce (Dale) Gartman, Millport, AL; son - Michael (Diane) Keen, Antioch, TN; sisters - Betty Katherine Skinner, Belton, TX; Carol Scarborough, Collinsville, MS; grandchildren - Jimmy Justice, Lori Stephan, Amanda Tipton, Jared Gartman, Cartney Keen, Lisa Welch, and Terry Wade Miller; and 7 great grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Jimmy Justice, Jared Gartman, Terry Wade Miller, Larry Green, Chris Tipton, and Jon Stephan. Honorary Pallbearers will be Dr. Jason Dunn and staff and present and former associates of Wal-Mart of Columbus, MS.
