Mildred McDavid Mildred McDavid, 87 of Columbus passed away Sunday, September 23, 2012 at Trinity Healthcare, Columbus, MS. A Memorial Service will be Saturday, September 29, 2012 at 5:00 PM in Salem Cemetery, Macon, MS with Bro. Wes Jones officiating. Lowndes Funeral Home, directing. Mrs. McDavid was born June 20, 1925 to the late Floyd and Reba Latham in Greenville, MS. She was a member of the First Baptist Church, Macon, MS and moved to Columbus 9 years ago from Louisville, MS. Mrs. McDavid enjoyed cooking, sewing and was a family caregiver. She retired in 1993 as a dietician with Noxubee General Hospital, Macon, MS after 20 years of service. In addition to her parents, Mrs. McDavid is preceded in death by her husband, Lumford Bramlett McDavid, Jr., an infant child and 2 brothers and 1 sister. Mrs. McDavid is survived by her 5 daughters – June Sims, Kosicusko, MS, Carolyn Robertson, Columbus, MS, Kaye Jones, Columbus, MS, Cathy (Frank) Sanders, Louisville, MS and Lynn Coleman, Jackson, MS. Brother – F. G. Latham, Jr., Greenville, MS, 13 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews. Honorary Pallbearers will be her grandsons.
