Mildred S. Price Mildred S. Price, 98 of Columbus, MS passed away Monday, December 20, 2010 at Baptist Memorial Hospital ? GT, Columbus, MS.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, December 22, 2010 from 6 ? 8 PM at Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS. Funeral Services will be held Thursday, December 23 at 2 PM in the Lowndes Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Tommy Whaley officiating. Interment will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Columbus, MS with Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS directing.

Mrs. Price was born July 12, 1912 in Fayette, AL to the late William and Lora Bell Shepherd. She was a lifetime resident of Columbus, MS and retired from Seminole Mfg. with 10 years of service. Mrs. Price enjoyed cooking, puzzles, TV game shows and loved spending time with her family. She raised her children and grandchildren, loved and supported many generations of her family. Her cooking was known and loved by many. Mrs. Price enjoyed a good practical joke and laughing with her family and friends. She was always alert and bright minded until the end. Mrs. Price was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, Columbus, MS. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her sons, Hulon L. Price and Ray Price.

Mrs. Price is survived by her son, Lathern R. Price, Steens, MS; sister, Learon S. Porter, Columbus, MS; grandchildren, Dianne (Michael) Hand, Ralph (Patricia) Price, Michael (Cynthia) Price, Beth Price, Lisa Hunt, Randy (Kim) Price and Danny Price, 14 great grandchildren and 8 great-great grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Jacob Conn, Norman Stevenson, Freddy Shepherd, Eliot Price, Jesse Thames and Kenny Conn. Honorary Pallbearers will be her grandsons.
