Milton Curtis Neyman, Sr., 58 of Columbus, MS passed away Tuesday, May 21, 2013 at Baptist Memorial Hospital –GT, Columbus, MS. Visitation will be Thursday, May 23, 2013 from 6-8 PM at Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS. Funeral services will be Friday, May 24, 2013 at 10 AM at Lowndes Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Steve Lammons officiating. Interment will follow in Friendship Cemetery, Columbus, MS with Lowndes Funeral Home directing. Mr. Neyman was born July 23, 1954 in Columbus, MS to James E. Neyman and Lois Poore Neyman. He was a lifelong resident of Columbus and Lowndes County and a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. Mr. Neyman was a 1972 graduate of New Hope High School and also a graduate of Mississippi State University with an accounting degree and was the recipient of the Silas M. Simmons Bronze Medal Award for the third highest score on the CPA exam in Mississippi in 1996. He worked for the C & G Railroad for several years and then for Milton C. Neyman Accounting Services. Mr. Neyman was a member of AICDA, Columbus Riding Club and a member of Old Wolfe Hunting Club. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, horseback riding, was an avid MSU and Braves fan. Mr. Neyman is preceded in death by his wife, Donna Murrah Neyman and his father, James E. Neyman. Mr. Neyman is survived by his mother-Lois Poore Neyman, Columbus, MS, daughter- Jennifer Neyman, Columbus, MS, son- Milton Curtis (Lauren) Neyman Jr., Columbus, MS, sisters- Linda Neyman, Meridian, MS, Mary Ann (Chuck) Hughes, Montgomery, AL, brothers- James (Regina) Neyman, Columbus, MS and Jerry (Norma) Neyman, Quitman, MS, several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Jimmy Cobb, Chris Argyle, Mike Ellis, John Lancaster, David Neyman and Jim Hughes. Honorary pallbearers will be Members of Columbus Riding Club, Members of the Old Wolfe Hunting Club and Former co-workers of C & G Railroad.
