Minnie Ernestine Coleman, 76, of Columbus, MS passed away Thursday, December 18, 2014 at Baptist Memorial Hospital - GT, Columbus, MS. Visitation will be held Sunday, December 21, 2014 from 2-3PM at Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS. A memorial service will follow at 3PM at the Lowndes Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Robert Gillis officiating and Lowndes Funeral Home directing. Mrs. Coleman was born February 24, 1938 in Columbus, MS to the late Thomas B. and Margaret C. Freeman Acker. She attended Calvary Baptist Church. Mrs. Coleman was a very loving caregiver to many people. Mrs. Coleman is survived by her husband - Carl D. Coleman, Columbus, MS; sons - Don (Debra) Coleman, Brooksville, MS and Jim Coleman, Leesville, LA; daughter - Patricia (David) McCluney, Columbus, MS, sisters - Virginia Edward, Dyersburg, TN, Margaret Simpson, Harlem, GA, and Lilly Brown, Fairhope, AL; 8 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
