Minnie Mae Ponder, 76, of Columbus, MS passed away Friday, September 30, 2016, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-GT, Columbus, MS.

Visitation will be held Sunday, October 2, 2016 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS A Funeral Service will follow Sunday, October 2, 2016, at 4:00 PM in the Lowndes Funeral Home Chapel, Columbus, MS with Bro. Kenny Gardner officiating and Lowndes Funeral Home directing.

Miss Ponder was born December 1, 1939, to the late Luther J. and Flora Benroben Ponder in Sunflower, MS. She moved from Las Vegas, NV to Columbus, MS 45 years ago. She enjoyed fishing, camping, playing pool, and animals. Miss Ponder loved her family get-togethers and going on vacations with her family.

Miss Ponder is survived by her daughter-Brenda (Raymond) Langford, Columbus, MS; her son-Larry (Mary) Ponder, Columbus, MS; sisters-Edna (Danny) Cameron, Ethelsville, AL and Flora Smith, Columbus, MS; brother-Preston (Lucy) Ponder, Kissimmee, FL; grandchildren-Latasha (Ryan Perrigin) Ponder and Russell (Brittany) Ponder; 7 great-grandchildren; 8 nieces and nephews; 24 great-nieces and nephews; and her pet companion-Scruffy.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Jeff Guyton, Danny Cameron, Joe Wayne Langford, Baptist Hospice, and Aurora Australis Lodge.
