Minnie Mae Wilson, 78, of Abilene, TX passed away peacefully Tuesday, January 2, 2018, at her home. Mae Wilson lost a long hard fought battle with family by her side.

Visitation will be held Saturday, January 6, 2018, from 1:00-2:00 PM at Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS. A funeral service will follow on Saturday, January 6, 2018, at 2:00 PM with Bro. Grant Mitchell officiating. Interment will be at Rowan Cemetery with Lowndes Funeral Home directing.

Ms. Wilson was born February 27, 1939, in Columbus, MS to the late William Davis and the late Kelly Cain Davis.  She was a graduate of S.D. Lee High School, Columbus, MS. Through a long hard fight with COPD, she continued the good fight with strength dignity and grace, never complained, but most importantly, her unwavering faith in the Lord. She was a long time resident of Columbus, MS but relocated to the home of her daughter Jamie and son-in-law Tracy Freshour for the remainder of her life where she was taken care of with the best care that could be given or wanted. She was dearly loved by her family and friends and will be greatly missed but will never be forgotten. In addition to her parents, Ms. Wilson was preceded in death by her husbands- Kilby Tuggle, and Talmadge Wilson; her son- Thomas Tuggle; and her step-grandchild- Angela Wilson.

Ms. Wilson is survived by her daughter- Debbie (Ernie) Blackburn of Columbus, MS and Jamie (Tracy) Freshour of Abilene, TX; step-children- Bill (Kathy) Wilson of Jackson, MS and Randy Wilson of Caledonia, MS; daughter-in-law- Mary Tuggle of Columbus, MS; grandchildren- Jay (Carrie) Stacy, Kallie (Stuart) Phillips, Jonathan (Shelly) Tuggle, Bridget (Duran) Mays, and Jessica Calhoun Lee; step-grandchildren- Chris Wilson, Heather (Brian) Smith, Holly (Kevin) Wood, Jay (Tiffany) Blackburn, Brooke (Justin) Gilpin, and Ridge Blackburn; great-grandchildren- Cade Stacy, Reese Stacy, Emery Stacy, Amanda "BB" Stacy, Arthur Phillips, Axel Phillips, Sennah "Tootsie" Phillips, Haven Tuggle, Caleb Tuggle, and Haley Calhoun; and step-great-grandchildren- Josh Pitts, Ashton Smith, Jackson Wood, Sara Catherine Wood, Sophie Wood, Harper Gilpin, Ava Blackburn, and Owen Blackburn.

Pallbearers will be Jay Stacy, Jonathan Tuggle, Stuart Phillips, Cade Stacy, Caleb Tuggle, and Glenn Fraser, Honorary pallbearers will be Arthur Phillips and Axel Phillips.
