Muriel B Rigdon, 92, of Scooba, MS passed away Wednesday, December 14, 2022, at Windsor Place, Columbus, MS.

Visitation is scheduled for Friday, December 16, 2022, from 1:00 – 2:00 PM at Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS.  A Memorial service will follow at 2:00 PM in the Lowndes Funeral Home Chapel, with Bro. Randy Rigdon officiating, and Lowndes Funeral Home directing.

Mrs. Rigdon was born on April 8, 1930, to the late Mary Trest Boone and Howard W Boone.  She was a member of Scooba Methodist Church, who loved growing flowers.  Muriel was also a housewife who loved taking care of her children and grandchildren.  In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband – Dike E. Rigdon; brothers – James, Howard, and Harold Boone.

Her surviving family is sons – Randy (Evelyn) Rigdon, and Charles (Jeannie) Rigdon; daughter – Cindy (Danny) Patrick; grandchildren – Suzey Hooper, Mark Rigdon, Candy Aziz, Tabatha Coker, Ryan Rigdon, Courtney Kyle, Whitney Stuart, and Clay Patrick; a host of great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and her sister – Scarlet Margaret Boone.

Honorary pallbearers will be Cal Lanier, Don Mattox, Rusty Fleming, Jimmy Fleming, Mose Fleming, and Ricky Rigdon.
