Nancy Ward Bishop, 74, of Steens, MS passed away Monday, November 1, 2021, at Windsor Place, Columbus, MS.

Visitation will be held Thursday, November 4, 2021, from 12:00 PM-2:00 PM at Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS. A funeral service will follow at 2:00 PM in the Chapel with Pastor Dan Louman officiating. Interment will immediately follow at Rowan, Cemetery, Caledonia, MS with Lowndes Funeral Home directing.

Nancy was born in July 1947, to the late Hunter and Evelyn Loftis Ward in Columbus, MS. She was a 1965 graduate of Caledonia High School and graduated from the University of MS Medical Center in 1968 as a certified Radiologic Technologist. She worked as an x-ray technician in Columbus for many years and retired in 2008 from the Imaging Center. She married Robert (Doc) Bishop in 1971; they were married until his death in 2012. She loved to read and loved her pets. She was a life-long member of Border Springs Baptist Church, Caledonia, MS.

In addition to her parents, Nancy was preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, Robert (Doc) Bishop.

Nancy is survived by her sons, Brian Bishop of Starkville, MS and Andy (Becky) Bishop of Millport, AL; and sisters- Jan (Don) Hudson of Columbus, MS, and Cindy (Chuck)  Jordan of Caledonia, MS.

Pallbearers will be Chip Jordan, Patrick Jordan, Joe Moseley, Jim Shackelford, Greg Shackelford, and Harold Partain.
