Nancy Carol Swanberg (Turan), 74 of Clinton, MS passed away Thursday, September 29, 2016 at her residence.

Visitation will be held Saturday, October 8, 2016 from 12:30-1:00PM at Lowndes Funeral Home. A Memorial Service will follow at 1:00PM in the Lowndes Funeral Home Chapel. Arrangements are entrusted with Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS.

Ms Swanberg was born January 1, 1942 to the late Carl and Sylvia Arklin Swanberg in Ontonagon, MI  and moved to Clinton, MS,  11 years ago,  from Kennesaw, GA.  She was of the Catholic faith.  Ms Swanberg received her BSN degree from MUW in Columbus, MS and retired in 2005 after 28 years as a Registered Nurse at Kennestone Hospital, Kennesaw, GA.   She loved spending time with family and especially her children and grandchildren. Ms Swanberg enjoyed antiquing, crafts, sewing, playing board games, and cards with her children, grandchildren and nephews.   In addition to her parents, Ms Swanberg was preceded in death by her daughter –in-law – Robin Turan.

Ms Swanberg is survived by her daughters – Natalie Ellis, Clinton, MS and Dana (Jim) Evans, Roswell, GA; son – Troy Turan, Atlanta, GA; sister – Natalie Rosemurgy, Ontonagon, MI; grandchildren – William "Billy" Parker, III, Skylar Ellis, Tatum Turan, Camden Turan and Forrest Evans; ex-husband – Ellsworth Turan, Columbus, MS.

Honorary pallbearers will be Steven Rosemurgy, Tom Rosemurgy and Christopher Rosemurgy.
