IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Natalie Horton
May
September 8, 1971 – November 2, 2021
STARKVILLE — Natalie Horton May, 50, lost her nine-year battle with breast cancer on November 2, 2021.
Natalie was employed as a part-time administrative assistant at the Starkville church of Christ near the Mississippi State University campus and as a consultant for the Kentucky Center for School Safety.
Survivors include her husband, David May; children, James, William, and Grace May; father, Tommy Horton; mother, Linda Horton; and two brothers, Kevin (Vicki) and Brittnea (Larinda) Horton. Natalie is also survived by six nephews (Christopher May, Kenton Horton, Jacob Horton, Owen May, and Samuel Horton) and four nieces (Ellen, Faith, Ellie, and Bethany Horton).
Natalie was born in Waynesboro, Tennessee, and despite living in four other states, remained a lifelong Tennessee sports fan. She enjoyed quilting, scrapbooking, cooking, teaching small children in Bible Class, and spending time with her family. She will be remembered for the great Christian woman that she was and for her strength and strong will. She served as a loving wife and mother to a family that misses her greatly already and as an inspiration for so many others fighting cancer whose lives she touched. Our family wants to thank all the prayer warriors throughout the United States who helped her defeat breast cancer for so many years (and through so many chemotherapy treatments and surgeries).
A memorial service will be held in her honor at Starkville church of Christ on Saturday, November 13, at 3:00 p.m. Out of respect for both Natalie and the family's wishes, we ask all attendees to wear masks. Her family will disperse her remains at a later date.
The family request no flowers and in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society or the Cancer Treatment Centers of America.
