Nelda Faye Sparks, 77, of Columbus, MS passed away Monday, February 8, 2021 at Baptist Memorial Hospital-GT.

Visitation will be Wednesday, February 10, 2021 from 1:00-2:00 at East End Baptist Church. A service will follow at 2:00 PM with Bro. Taylor Chisolm officiating and Bro. Byron Benson assisting. Interment will be in Memorial Gardens with Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS directing.

Mrs. Sparks was born on September 9, 1943 in Collinsville, MS to the late Cecie Boatner McMullen and Archie McMullen. She attended East End Baptist Church and worked at United Technologies for 30 years in administration. Mrs. Sparks was a loving wife, mother, and known as Nanny to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed reading, watching sports, and spending time with her family. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Sparks is preceded in death by her brothers- Bo McMullen, and Mac McMullen; her sisters- Margaret Haddock, and Helen Bledsoe.

Mrs. Sparks is survived by her husband- Curtiss Sparks of Columbus, MS; son- Rusty (Beth) Chisolm of Caledonia, MS; daughter- Kim Chisolm Lamb of Columbus, MS; step-children- Rhonda Seagraves, and Herbert Sparks; grandchildren- Derek Criddle, Morgan Lamb, Matthew (Emily) Chisolm, Todd (Brittany) Chisolm, Taylor (Alisha) Chisolm, Abbey Blythe, and Wylie Seagraves; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Derek Criddle, Taylor Chisolm, Todd Chisolm, Matthew Chisolm, Herbert Sparks, and Donnie Jones. Honorary pallbearers will be her great-grandchildren.
