Neva Jane McCown Cheney, formerly of Atlanta, Boston and Dallas, TX, loving mother and humanitarian, died July 10, 2016, at The Windsor Place in Columbus, MS.

Visitation will be Thursday, July 14, 2016, from 5:00PM-7:00PM at Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS. A Funeral Service will be held Friday, July 15, 2016, at 2:00PM in the Lowndes Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Tommy Gillon officiating. Interment will follow in Friendship Cemetery, Columbus, MS with Lowndes Funeral Home directing.

Mrs. Cheney was born January 20, 1929, to the late Mack and Neva McCown. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Irving Cheney, daughters, Suzanne Cheney Conn and Lynne Cheney-Mark. She is survived by her daughter, Sarah Cheney Logan and grandson, Terry Logan, both of Columbus, MS, granddaughter, Rebecca Logan of Chapel Hill, NC and sister Ramona Thompson.
