Odell Moore Odell Pratt Moore, 90 passed away, Sunday, March 18, 2012 at Aurora Health & Rehab, Columbus, MS. Visitation for Mrs. Moore will be Tuesday, March 20, 2012 from 1 – 2 PM at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, Columbus, MS. Funeral Service will follow at 2 PM with Bro. Steve Lammons, officiating and Bro. Billy Guin, assisting. Interment will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Columbus, MS with Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS directing. Mrs. Moore was born February 4, 1922 to the late John & Velma Bobo Pratt in Newtonville, AL. She married the late Victor L. Moore August 26, 1940 and moved to Lowndes County 58 years ago from Tuscaloosa. Mrs. Moore retired in 1984 from United Technologies after 29 years of employment. She was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, Columbus, MS, she loved working in her garden especially her flowers, quilting and crocheting. In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Moore is preceded in death by her 3 sisters – Nota Stripling, Motie Guin and Lessie Moore. Mrs. Moore is survived by her daughters – Odie V. (Melvin) Snow, Tuscaloosa, AL and Gennie B. Gorsuch, Columbus, MS, sister – Bonnie Faye Winters, Arlington, TN, grandchildren – Larry Snow, Keith Snow, Chris Snow and Melinda (Steve) Renfro, great-grandchildren – Jacob Snow, Zach Renfro and Will Renfro. Pallbearers will be Larry Snow, Chris Snow, Steve Renfro, Ronnie Winters, Jim Moore and J.L. Guin. Honorary Pallbearers will be Mr. & Mrs. Walt Long, Mr. & Mrs. Herbert Junkins, Members of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, Staff of Aurora Health & Rehab, Joe Shaw, Dale Brewer, Don Pennington and Bill Doss.
