Arrie Olivia Gross Johnson, 94, passed away on Thursday, September 12, 2019 at her residence. A visitation will be held at 10:00AM on Saturday, September 14, 2019, from The Church of  Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints of Columbus. Funeral services will immediately follow at 11:00AM at the church, with Bishop Eric Smith and Barry Sadler officiating. Graveside services will be held on Saturday, September 14, 2019 at 4:00pm from Johnson's Cemetery near Goodway, AL.

Mrs. Johnson was born May 11, 1925, near Uriah, AL to the late Dannie and Arrie Lee Gross. The devoted wife of a World War II Veteran, she doted over her husband and spent her life as a homemaker. She enjoyed travelling, especially to the beach, quilting and fishing. A wonderful wife, mother and proud "Oma" to her grands, she enjoyed spending time with her family and was always eager to share her impeccable cooking talents with those she loved. She also adored her Bunko group.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Johnson was preceded in death by her son: Dannie Johnson; and one brother Lee Gross.

She is survived by her husband of 74 years Joseph Johnson; two daughters: Joann (Bobby) Averett of Calera, AL and Gwen (Mike) Lollar of Columbus; seven grandchildren: Toni (Barry) Sadler, Teresa (Wesley) Sanders, Tara (Jon) Brown, Phillip (Kaitlyn) Lollar, Adam (Kari) Lollar, Leah (Jayson) Woodard and Dannie Joseph (Heather) Johnson; nineteen great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Adam Lollar, Dannie Joseph Johnson, Luke Woodard, Reid Brown, Jon Brown and Dallas Sadler. Recognized as Honorary Pallbearers will be Jimmy Bourland, Ray Robertson, Bro. Charlie Coggins, Jon Russell Brown, Dylan Sadler, and the members of her beloved Bunko group.
