Olyn Rudolph Hill, 83, of Columbus, MS passed away Friday, January 10, 2014 at Baptist Memorial Hospital- GT. Visitation will be Tuesday, January 14, 2014 from 11:00 AM till 12:00 PM at Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS. Funeral services will be Tuesday, January 14, 2014 at 12:00 PM in the Lowndes Funeral Home chapel with Bro. Raymond Spann. Interment will be in Forest Cemetery, Ethelsville, AL with Lowndes Funeral Home directing. Mr. Hill was born September 30, 1930 in Louisville, MS to the late Samuel Hubbard and Eva Pearl Eaves Hill. He married Ivy Jean Fulton on January 10, 1949 in Louisville, MS. Mr. Hill was a member of Sovereign Grace Baptist Church, Columbus, MS and a mason. He was the owner of Hill's Electric and Plumbing for 57 years. Mr. Hill loved deer hunting and tinkering with his tractors. Mr. Hill is survived by his wife of 65 years, Ivy Jean Hill; daughter- Norma (Jerry) Hill Neyman, Quitman, MS; son- Olyn D. Hill, Columbus, MS; sisters- Glenda Hill Woodruff and Fannie Hill Clark; brothers- Roland Hill and Ralph Hill; 5 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Randle Hill, Jason Neyman, Luke Neyman, Doug Hill, Mike Woodruff and Larry Manzolillo.
