Margaret Otheal Betts Weathers, lovingly known as "Banny" to all who knew her, lived a life marked by faith, family, and a spirit of adventure. She was born September 17, 1927, in Maben, MS, to the late L.D. Betts and Sallie Clardy Betts. Otheal was working as a bookkeeper at Ruth's Dept. Store in Columbus, MS, where she was introduced to the love of her life, Al. They married in 1967, and together they began a beautiful life filled with love, laughter, and countless adventures.

Otheal's faith in Jesus was the foundation of her life. She loved her Savior deeply and that love flowed into every relationship she had. Her family was her greatest joy. She adored her son, Tom, and three grandchildren, pouring her heart into every moment she spent with them. When Tom married Sandy, Otheal joyfully welcomed a daughter-in-law, additional grandchildren and great grandchildren, delighting in their lives and accomplishments.

Even after suffering a stroke at 93, her determination and strength shone through. She made remarkable strides in her recovery, earning her the nickname" Miss Independent" from the assisted living staff.
