Otis T. Pritchett, 88, of Ethelsville, AL passed away Tuesday, November 24, 2020, at Baptist Memorial Hospital, GT.

A funeral service will be Saturday, December 5, 2020, at 1:00 PM at Lowndes Funeral Home Chapel, Columbus, MS with Bro. Steve Lammons officiating. Interment will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery with Lowndes Funeral Home directing. Due to COVID restrictions, the funeral service will be limited to immediate family, however the service will be streamed on Lowndes Funeral Home website.

Mr. Pritchett was born on February 26, 1932, in Eutaw, AL to the late Levie McCool Pritchett and William Pritchett. He served in the United States Airforce and retired in 1971 as an Aircraft Mechanic after serving 20 years. Mr. Pritchett then worked as a loan officer at the Bank of Mississippi for 19 years. He was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. He enjoyed going hunting, fishing, needlepoint, and reading. In addition to his parents, Mr. Pritchett is preceded in death by his wife of 61 years- Barbara McCrary Pritchett; daughter- Pamela Joyce Pritchett Pevey; granddaughter- Susan Lynn Masek; great-granddaughter- Joanna Stricklin; brothers- Milford Pritchett, Leon Pritchett, and Robert Pritchett; and sisters- Clarice Pritchett Stokes and Eloise Pritchett Mills.

Mr. Pritchett is survived by his daughters-  Terry Ann (Tom) Pritchett Thompson of Columbus, MS, Charlotte (Bob) Pritchett Masek of Murfreesboro, TN, and Sharon (Scott) Pritchett Warf of Manchester, TN; 13 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; sister- Anna Catherine Pritchett Richardson of Erwin, TN.

Pallbearers will be Wes Carlisle, JC Leaphart, Blake Holliman, Daniel Gott, Jason Stricklin, and Chris Farwick. Honorary pallbearers will be Steve Masek and Larry Feagans.

Memorials may be made to USO, P.O. Box 9680 Washington, DC 20077-7677, or any organization or charity of your choice in memory of O.T. Pritchett.

Our family would like to especially thank the personnel at Encompass Hospice and the wonderful COVID nurses at Baptist Memorial Hospital who have chosen to care for citizens with COVID. We especially want to thank two ICU angels, Sylvia and Tory. We are very grateful for their loving care. Due to COVID restrictions, the funeral service will be limited to immediate family.
