Otley Frances Swartz, 95, of Columbus, MS passed away Thursday, May 2, 2019 at Vineyard Court Nursing Center, Columbus, MS.

Visitation will be Sunday, May 5, 2019 from 1-3 PM at Lowndes Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be Sunday, May 5 at 3 PM at Lowndes Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Curtis Bray officiating. Interment will be in Friendship Cemetery, Columbus, MS with Lowndes Funeral Home directing.

Mrs. Swartz was born July 15, 1923 to the late George Byrd and Addie Belle Ruffin Clardy. She retired from Mississippi University for Women as a food production supervisor. Mrs. Swartz was a caregiver for family and relatives and was a sponsor for five people in the nursing home. Her and her husband were owners of Possum Town Travelers Campground and she loved traveling and camping in their RV. She loved God, her family and enjoyed going to Fairview Baptist Church and Shaeffer's Chapel. In her addition to her parents, Mrs. Swartz in preceded in death by her husband-James Albert Swartz; Brothers- Clayton Clardy,  James Clardy, and Walter Clardy; a baby girl; brother in laws- Charles (Virginia) Swartz, Carl (Vivian) Swartz, and William (Mildred) Swartz; parents in law- Mr.  And Mrs. H.A. Swartz.

Mrs. Swartz is survived by her daughters- Carol (Mickey) Bray and Brenda Neal; grandchildren- Deborah (Tim) Willoughby, Robin (Emily) Carpenter, Tony (Cheyenne) Neal; Casey (Teena) Carpenter; five great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild, special and caring sister in law Betty Clardy

Pallbearers will be Robin Carpenter, Don Clardy, Chris Clardy, Michael Clardy, Lloyd Swartz, Dennis McCowan and Casey Blair.
