Patricia Ann McCrary Barksdale, 85, of Columbus, MS, passed away Saturday, April 15, 2023, at Baptist Memorial Hospital- GT.

Visitation will be Tuesday, April 18, 2023, from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Mt. Zion Baptist Church, Columbus, MS. A funeral service will follow at 2:00 PM with Bro. Steve Lammons officiating and Bro. Ralph Windle assisting. Interment will be in Beersheba Cemetery, Columbus, MS with Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS directing.

Mrs. Barksdale was born June 29, 1937, to the late Louis Edward and Mary Lucille Easter McCrary in Lowndes County, MS. She married the late W. H. "Buddy" Barksdale on August 28, 1954. Mrs. Barksdale worked as a machine operator at United Technologies for 45 years before retiring in 2000. She was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Columbus and enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family.

Mrs. Barksdale is survived by her son- Bobby (Teresa) Barksdale, Columbus, MS; daughter- Debra (Tim) Parson, Opelika, AL; grandchildren- Brian (Amy) Barksdale, Brad (Liz) Barksdale, Brittany (Matthew) Packer; great-grandchildren- Ronni-Beth Barksdale, Brian Robert Barksdale, Heinz Barksdale, Murphy Barksdale, Al Barksdale, Remington Packer, Camryn Packer; sisters- Gerrie (Don) Davis and Betty Massey.

Pallbearers will be Brian Barksdale, Brad Barksdale, Matthew Packer, Tim Massey, Tommy Massey, and Todd Davis. Honorary pallbearers will be Ray Crane, Jimmy Hildreth, Donna Silas' Sunday School class, and Men of Mt. Zion Baptist Church.
