Patricia H. Hamby, 71 of Millport, AL passed away Saturday, October 1, 2016, at Shelby Baptist Medical Center, Alabaster, AL.

Visitation will be Tuesday, October 4, 2016 from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM at Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS.    A funeral service will follow at 7:00 PM in the Lowndes Funeral Home chapel with Bro. Kenny Gardner officiating and Lowndes Funeral Home directing.

Mrs. Hamby was born February 24, 1945, to the late William "Bill" and Iver L. McGee Hudson in Chicago, IL and moved to Millport, AL in 1957.  She attended Columbus Christian Center, Columbus, MS.  In addition to being a wife and homemaker, Mrs. Hamby was a loving mother and grandmaw.  She enjoyed life with her family and friends.  In addition to her parents, Mrs. Hamby was preceded in death by her husband – Frank E. Hamby, Sr., son – Larry Joe "Joe Bob" Brasfield, granddaughter – Jessica Lyn Brasfield, and stepson – James Hamby.

Mrs. Hamby is survived by her daughter– Christine Estes, Alabaster, AL; sons – Billy (Charlotte) Brasfield, Timpson, TX and William "Huggie" (Nicole) Brasfield, Millport, AL; 7 grandchildren – Tricia Estes, Ashleigh Brasfield, Amber Brasfield, Amanda Page, Amanda Ray, and numerous great-grandchildren;  step-sons – Frank E. (Betty) Hamby, Jr., Robert (Tammy) Hamby and Mike Hamby all of West Point, MS.
