Patricia Hankins Holliman, 84, of Caledonia, MS passed away Monday, February 17, 2020, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-GT.
A visitation will be Friday, February 21, 2020, from 11:00 AM-1:00 PM at New Salem Baptist Church. Funeral service will follow at 1:00 PM with Bro. Mel Howton officiating.
Mrs. Holliman was born on October 20, 1935, in Caledonia, MS to the late Hershel and Grace Wells Hankins. She graduated from MUW with her Bachelor's of Education degree in 1982. Mrs. Holliman was a member of New Salem Baptist Church where she served as a Sunday School teacher for many years. She was also active in the WMU and the youth ministry. Mrs. Holliman was a volunteer at the Crisis Pregnancy Center in Columbus, MS. She loved quilting, sewing, reading, working puzzles, and cooking for her family and friends.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Holliman is preceded in death by her husband - Gene Douglas Holliman.
Mrs. Holliman is survived by her children - Douglas (Sarah) Holliman, Jr. of Caledonia, MS, Denise (Bill) Gatlin of Batesville, AR, Dolores (Tim) Davis of Helena, AL, Donna (George) Vaughn of Birmingham, AL, and Darren (Michelle) Holliman of Caledonia, MS; and grandchildren - Brian Holliman, Brad (Shannon) Holliman, Blake (Lauren) Holliman, Bridget (Dustin) Pumphrey, Gloria (Jon) Manning, Grant (Lexie) Gatlin, Grace (Clay) Dillard, Jessica (Jason) King, Julianne (Jeremy) McDaniel, Jennifer Davis, Wesley (Claire) Vaughn, Madalyn Vaughn, Spencer Vaughn, and Zach Holliman; 21 great-grandchildren; sisters - Becky Martin of Columbus, MS, Marilyn (Olen) Brock of Caledonia, MS, Elwanda Pridmore of Columbus, MS; and many nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Mrs. Holliman's grandsons. Honorary pallbearers will be Brian Holliman, Olen Brock and the Deacons of New Salem Baptist Church.
Memorials may be made to Gideon's International P.O. Box 2174 Columbus, MS 39704 or to Gene Holliman Scholarship Fund at New Salem Baptist Church.
