Patricia Ann Murray, 70, of Columbus, MS passed away peacefully Wednesday, April 20, 2016, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-GT, Columbus, MS, surrounded by family and with her very loving and dear friends by her side.

Visitation will be Sunday, April 24, 2016, from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS. Funeral Services will follow at 3:00 PM in the Lowndes Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. James Black officiating and Lowndes Funeral Home directing. Interment will be in Minier Cemetery, Minier, IL.

Mrs. Murray was born October 26, 1945, to the late Robert and Helen Estes Donnan in Minier, IL. She graduated from Minier High School, Minier IL in 1963, where she was the band drum major; and in 1965, she graduated from Business College. Mrs. Murray married her husband, Roger Murray in 1968. She worked at a bank in Peoria, IL, was a candy striper for a Methodist hospital, worked 4 years as a Nurse's Aide at Magnolia Nursing Home; and she also retired in 1999 from General Tire, what is now Omnova, after 17 years as a machine operator. Mrs. Murray worked very hard to provide for her family and enjoyed sitting on the porch with her family, friends, and dogs. In her spare time, she would also volunteer to walk dogs at the Columbus-Lowndes Humane Society. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her grandchild-Anna Kathryn Murray.

She is survived by her husband of 48 years-Roger Murray, Columbus, MS; daughter-Teresa (David) Little, Columbus, MS; son-Chris (Krystal) Murray, Columbus, MS; grandchildren-Rhett Little, Lexie Little, Colin Murray, Kara Lee Murray; sister-Cynthia (Richard) Klein; brother-in-law-Rodney (Claudette) Murray; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.
