Patricia Lynne Schmitt, 61, of Columbus, MS passed away Thursday, March 5, 2020, at her residence.

Visitation will be Wednesday, March 11, 2020 from 2:00-3:00 PM at Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS. A funeral service will follow at 3:00 PM in the Chapel with Bro. Steve Brown officiating. Interment will be in Vaughn Cemetery, Caledonia, MS with Lowndes Funeral Home directing.

Mrs. Schmitt was born July 5, 1958, in Pittsburg, PA to the late Dorothy Tindle Ittel and Robert Watt. She worked at Baptist Memorial Hospital-GT as a Scrub Tech-LD for 26 years. Mrs. Schmitt was a loving mother and grandmother. She is going to be greatly missed. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Schmitt is preceded in death by her husband- Ernest Schmitt.

Mrs. Schmitt is survived by her daughter- Amber (Greg) Shackelford of Steens, MS; sons- Ernest Robert (Teresa) Schmitt of Carlisle, PA, Christopher Jean Schmitt of Columbus, MS, and Eric Robert Schmitt of Thailand; sister- Nancy (Rich) McKeown of San Diego, CA; grandchildren- James Shackelford, Sadie Shackelford, Gabriel Schmitt, Katarina Schmitt, and Madison Schmitt; Nieces- Jessalyn McKeown, and Katie McKeown; and nephew- Michael McKeown.

Pallbearers will be Greg Shackelford, Ernes Robert Schmitt, Christopher Jean Schmitt, Eric Schmitt, and Rich McKeown.

Honorary pallbearers will be all of Labor and Delivery staff at Baptist Memorial Hospital-GT, extended friends and family.
