Paul Raymond Taylor, Sr., 72, of Steens, MS passed away Monday, April 12, 2021, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-GT.

No services will be held at this time. Lowndes Funeral Home and Crematory, Columbus, MS is entrusted with arrangements.

Mr. Taylor was born October 29, 1948, in Columbus, MS to the late Frances Fly Minor and Marvin Clifton Taylor. He enjoyed his time with the Boy Scouts Troop #3, fishing, camping, gardening, and tinkering on things. Mr. Taylor was a Mason, and a member of American Legion Post #69. He worked at Babcock and Wilcox for 30 years and also served in the United States Army. In addition to his parents, Mr. Taylor is preceded in death by his brother- Marvin Taylor, and sister- Faye Bowen.

Mr. Taylor is survived by his wife of 52 years- Christine Atkins Taylor of Steens, MS; sons- Paul (Tabitha) Taylor, Jr., and Jack Taylor; grandchildren- Paul Taylor, Sarah Taylor, and Luke Taylor; sisters- Wanda First of Memphis, TN, and Charlotte ivy of New Albany, MS; and brothers- Royce Taylor of Columbus, MS, Joel Taylor of Baton Rouge, LA, and Jack Adams of Columbus, MS.
