Peggy Jean Irwin, 67, passed away on Thursday, May 09, 2019 at her residence. There will be a visitation held on Wednesday, May 15, 2019, from 5:00-7:00pm at Lowndes Funeral Home.

Mrs. Irwin was born November 27, 1951 in Baltimore, Maryland, to the late Howard Jackson and Ann Nirrisa Caudill Wright. She had lived in the New Hope area for the past 14 years, having come from Aberdeen, Maryland. She was a Baptist by faith and member of Union Chapel Baptist Church, Ethelsville, AL. She was a Member of the American Legion Post 69 in Columbus and she loved playing BINGO at the VFW. She had attended Brighter Days in Columbus, she enjoyed arts and crafts and travelling to Florida. She was an avid fan of the Green Bay Packers,

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters: Shirley Richardson and Robin Louise Wright.

She is survived by her husband: Marvin Singleton; children: James Richard Burchett of Baltimore, MD, Sheryl (Kevin) Smith of Columbus, MS, April (Jason) Burns of Aberdeen, MD, Howard (Tiffany) Irwin of Panama City, FL, Janet Singleton of Columbus, MS, and Christina (Michael) Harper of Joppatowna, MD; siblings: Jacqueline A. Wright and Albert James (Virginia) Lewis of Columbus; grandchildren: Paige Perrigin, Ashley Burchett, Jon Burns, Joshua Irwin, Alexus Irwin, Grace Irwin, Melondy Burns, Jaxson Irwin, Shawn Brittain and Michael Harper; and one great granddaughter: Maddilynn Perrigin; and special caretaker Jeff Shelton.
