Peggy Booker Jones, 78 of Columbus, MS passed away Friday, April 1, 2016, at North Mississippi Medical Center, Tupelo, MS.

Visitation will be Monday, April 4, 2016, from 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM at Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS.  A funeral service will follow in the Lowndes Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Sammy Crawford officiating.  Interment will be in Memorial Gardens, Columbus, MS with Lowndes Funeral Home directing.

Mrs. Jones was born August 18, 1937, to the late Paul and Jesse Lou Mullican Booker in Aliceville, AL and moved to Columbus, MS, 57 years ago.  She was a member of Fairview Baptist Church, Columbus, MS. Mrs. Jones retired from National Bank of Commerce after 26 years of service. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Jones was preceded in death by her sister Joyce Booker Westbrook and brother in law – Woody Westbrook.

Mrs. Jones is survived by her husband of 60 years – Charles C. Jones, Columbus, MS; daughter – Sheila Jones, Columbus, MS; son – Mike (Karen) Jones, Gilbert, SC; brother – Charles  (Mary) Booker, Germantown, TN; grandchildren – Chris Jones and Andrew (Caitlyn) Jones; great-granddaughter – Charlotte Jones.

Pallbearers will be Chris Jones, Andrew Jones, and Donnie Camp.  Honorary pallbearers will be Ray Crosby, Hank Zaiontz, Larry Glover, Dick Perry and Oliver Phillips.

Memorials may be made to the donor's choice.
