Peggy Nell Simpson 63, passed away Thursday, June 8, 2023, at Baptist Memorial Hospital, GT- Columbus, MS.

Visitation will be Friday, June 16, 2023, from 10:00 Am to 11:00 Am at Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS. Funeral Service will be Friday, June 16, 2023, at 11:00 AM at Lowndes Funeral Home Chapel, Columbus, MS. Interment will be at Memorial Gardens in Columbus, Ms with Lowndes Funeral Home directing.

Mrs. Simpson was born on January 25, 1960, in Columbus, MS to the late James Clifton Richardson and Cora Mae Trammel Hemby.  Mrs. Simpson loved playing bingo and was a member of the VFW Women's Auxillary. One of her favorite things to do was to watch old westerns. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her step-father Vernon Hemby, Sr., and step sisters- Bonnie Yateman, Jo Kidd, and Suzanne Simpson.

Mrs. Simpson is survived by her husband- David Simpson; son- Christopher D. Simpson; brothers- Tommy Richardson, Dale Richardson, Martin Richardson, and Wallace Richardson; step brothers- Dwayne Hemby and Vernon Hemby, Jr; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Tommy Richardson, Dale Richardson, Martin Richardson, Wallace Richardson, Authur Morgan, and David Simpson. Honorary Pallbearers will be Christopher Simpson, T.J. McMullin, and Logan McMullin.

The family wants to thank Baptist Memorial –GTR, Trauma Staff, and ICU Staff for all their excellent care.
