Peggy Manning Taylor, 80 of Columbus, MS passed away Thursday, March 20, 2014 in Hamilton, MS. Visitation will be Saturday, March 22, 2014 from 6-8 PM at Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS. A graveside service will be Sunday, March 23, 2014 at 2 PM at Memorial Gardens with Rev. Roy Hawkins officiating and Lowndes Funeral Home directing. Mrs. Taylor was born September 9, 1933 in McShan, AL to the late Murray and Sarah Johnson Manning. She graduated Salutatorian from Liberty High School. Mrs. Taylor was the Cafeteria Manager at Columbus Municipal School District for 26 years. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by brothers-Murray Manning, Jr., Bobby Manning and Ralph Manning. Mrs. Taylor is survived by her sons-Mike Taylor, Auburn, AL and Chris Taylor, Columbus, MS; daughter-Sue Davis, Columbus, MS; 7 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Rudy Manning, Chase Taylor, Thomas Rosselot, Gary Manning, Chris Oglesby and Josh Davis.
