Peggy Elaine Wooten, 68, of Columbus, MS, passed away Wednesday, February 21, 2024, at Baptist Memorial Hospital- Golden Triangle, Columbus, MS.

Visitation will be Saturday, March 2, 2024, from 12:00 PM -1:00 PM at Bread of Life Church. Memorial will be Saturday, March 2, 2024, at 1:00 PM at Bread of Life Church.

Mrs. Wooten was born October 29, 1955, in Aliceville, Alabama, to the late A.C. Scarbrough and Mary Neill Walker Scarbrough. Mrs. Wooten worked in manufacturing for many years as a banner. She attended church at the Salvation Army. Mrs. Wooten enjoyed fishing, games, and spending time with her grandkids and family. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Wooten is preceded in death by her brother- Sammy Scarbrough, and sister- Pat Cook.

Mrs. Wooten is survived by her husband- William Earl Wooten; son- Robert (Samantha) Wooten; daughter- Christie Wooten, and Stacy Quick; grandchildren- Breana Wooten, Ashley Wooten, and Charles Quick; great-grandchildren- Faith Quick, Marshall Bowles, Maliki Bowles, Xena Bowles; and sister- Cindy Reed.
