Philip Wages, 62 of Columbus, MS passed away Monday, April 15, 2013 at his residence. Visitation will be Thursday, April 18, 2013 from 6-8 pm at Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS. Mr. Wages was born July 8, 1950 in Columbus, MS to the late George and Margaret Porter Wages. He was a member of East End Baptist Church, an avid fisherman and a Mississippi State Fan. Mr. Wages worked as a Master Engineer in the Railroad business for 38 years, having worked for C & G Railroad. He formerly served in the Mississippi National Guard. Mr. Wages is survived by his daughter- Amy Wages, Ashville, NC, siblings- Donna (Sandy) Sanders, Marty Wages and Margaret Ann (Jim) Borland all of Columbus, MS, Aunt- Willa (M.P.) Biddy, Columbus, MS and a host of nieces, nephews and many friends. Honorary pallbearers will be The Class of 1968, The Happy Hour Group and The Railroad Community.
