Phyllis Irene Caldwell, 74, of Columbus, MS passed away Saturday, December 20, 2014 at Baptist Memorial Hospital - GT, Columbus, MS. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Mrs. Caldwell was born on January 24, 1940 in Deer Lake, Newfoundland to the late Chess and Pearl Curlou Harding. She attended First Baptist Church in Columbus, MS. Mrs. Caldwell has lived in the Columbus area for the past 27 years, after moving from Birmingham, AL. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Caldwell is preceded in death by her daughter - Judy Caldwell and son - John Caldwell. Mrs. Caldwell is survived by husband - Harold Caldwell, Columbus, MS; daughter - Sandra Caldwell, Columbus, MS; sisters - Beulah Smith and Shirley Rice, both of Newfoundland; and one grandchild - Russ Perkins.
