Phyllis Diane Janssen, 74 of Columbus, MS passed away Wednesday, September 7, 2022, at her residence.

Visitation will be Wednesday, September 14, 2022, from 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM at Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS, a Memorial service will follow in the chapel at 11:00 AM.

Mrs. Janssen was born October 21, 1947, in Minnesota to the late Raymond and Tena Feeken Heidebrink.  She worked as a receptionist in the healthcare industry.  Mrs. Janssen was a member of Covenant United Methodist Church and Columbus Garden Club.  She volunteered as a pink lady at Baptist Memorial Hospital – Golden Triangle and was the torchbearer in the Alpha Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority.  In addition to her parents, Mrs. Janssen was preceded in death by her husband – Don Janssen.

Mrs. Janssen is survived by her son – David (Rebecca) Janssen, Columbus, MS; daughter – Pam (Billy) Scott, West Point, MS; 3 grandchildren – Morgan Scott, Dylan Scott, and Elizabeth Janssen and brother – Allen (Gail)Heidebrink.

Honorary pallbearers will be Regina Owens, Marilyn Moore, Jackie Jackson, Dorothy Beason, Joyce Talbert, and Joan Ferguson.
