Polly Jean Robison Bishop of Columbus, MS passed away Tuesday, November 11, 2014 at her residence. Visitation will be Wednesday, November 12, 2014 from 1:00 -2:00 PM at Woodland Baptist Church, Columbus, MS. Funeral Services will follow at 2:00 PM with Bro. Shelby Hazard officiating. Interment will be in Mt. Hebron Cemetery, Beaverton, AL with Lowndes Funeral Home directing. Mrs. Bishop was born in Lamar County, AL to the late Charlie and Ozema Hughes Robison. She moved to Lowndes County in 1969 from Viadilia, LA. Mrs. Bishop was a member of Woodland Baptist Church and Co-Founder and Vice President of Johnny Bishop RV for over 30 years. She enjoyed quilting, flowers, especially daylilies, reading and traveling with her family throughout the U.S., Canada and Alaska in their R. V. Mrs. Bishop was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Mrs. Bishop is survived by her husband, Johnny Bishop; daughters- Karen Bishop and Renee (Wayne) Nichols, all of Columbus, MS; a sister-Violet Richardson, Columbus, MS; grandchild-Christopher (Jessica) Nichols; great grandchildren-Riley Nichols and Katherine Nichols and a host of nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Hank Vaiden, John McElrath, Roger Wade, Dale Parra, Lynn Dawkins and Jamie Simpson. Honorary pallbearers will be Oliver Phillips, Bill Scarbrough, Men of Sr. Adult Sunday School Class and Ladies Faith Sunday School Class.
