Jessie Pauline Herrington, 89, family of Columbus, MS passed away Monday, September 18, 2017, at The Claiborne at Adelaide, Starkville, MS.

Visitation will be Saturday, September 23, 2017, from 12:00 – 1:00 PM at Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS. A funeral service will follow Saturday, September 23, 2017, at 1:00 PM in the Lowndes Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. David Sanford officiating. Interment will be at Memorial Gardens, Columbus, MS with Lowndes Funeral Home directing.

Ms. Herrington was born June 28, 1928, in Robbinsville, NC to the late Walter N. and Eula Mae Phillips George. She was an avid golfer and loved to garden. Ms. Herrington loved her flowers and plants. She enjoyed being outdoors as often as possible. In addition to her parents, Ms. Herrington was preceded in death by her husband- James L. Herrington; sister- Evelyn Guge; and brother- Dean George.

Ms. Herrington is survived by her sons- Ronnie (Lynda) Herrington of Columbus, MS, and Tim (Geryl) Herrington of Birmingham, AL; daughter- Kathy (Bruce) Davis of Long Beach, CA; grandchildren- Ashley (Michael) Looney, Amy (Ben) Peal, Anna Lynn Herrington, and Gavin Breazeale; great-grandchildren- Jonathan Peal, Caroline Peal, Hannah Hepler, Hayden Hepler, Hallie Hepler, Mack Breazeale, Cannon Breazeale, and Celia Peal; brother- Larry George of Athen, AL; sisters- Maxine Barton of Birmingham, AL, and Bonita Moss of Blue Ridge, GA.

Pallbearers will be family members.
