Quavis Earl Romedy, 74, of Columbus, MS, passed away Thursday, November 3, 2022, at Sanctuary Hospice House, Tupelo, MS.
Visitation will be 10:00-11:00 AM, Tuesday, November 8, 2022, at Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS. A funeral service will follow at 11:00 AM in the Lowndes Funeral Home Chapel, with Bro. Kenny Gardner officiating. The interment will be at Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Columbus, MS, with Lowndes Funeral Home directing.
Quavis was born on July 26, 1948, in Louisville, MS, to the late Frank Romedy and Sara Vowell Romedy. He was a graduate of Weir High School and retired as owner of Triangle Service Company in 2018. On July 17, 1982, Quavis married his love, the late Elaine Swartz Romedy. He was a member of St. Stephen United Methodist Church who enjoyed reading, spending time with his animals, and watching Mississippi State sports. In addition to his wife and parents, Mr. Romedy is preceded in death by his brothers – Barry Romedy and Lowry Romedy; and sisters Ada Faye (Vernon) Creech, Lucile (Don) Tullos, and Mary Lane (Pete) Miller.
He is survived by his daughters – Sara (Chad) Turner, Tracy Wilson, and Wendi (Ellis) Lachney; grandchildren – McKensi Lachney, Jaxon Turner, Brynann Turner, Jovi Turner, Nova Turner, Chasity Romedy, Dustin Lindsey, and Raven Wilson; eight great-grandchildren; and siblings – Forrest (Wanda) Romedy, Clytee Romedy, and Benita Romedy.
Pallbearers will be Lloyd Swartz, Andy Swartz, Jimmy Hildreth, Jay McCrary and Ricky Hudson.
Memorials may be made to Sanctuary Hospice, Tupelo, MS, or Sweet Paws Rescue, Macon, MS
