Ralph Cook Youngblood, 83, of Columbus, MS passed away Wednesday, July 29, 2020, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-GT.

A funeral service will be held Saturday, August 1, 2020, at 2:00 PM at Mt. Zion Baptist Church, Columbus, MS with Bro. Steve Lammons officiating. Interment will be in Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery, Columbus, MS with Lowndes Funeral Home directing.

Mr. Youngblood was born December 7, 1936, in Pickens County, AL to the late Erlene Cook and Thomas Hill Youngblood. He graduated from New Hope in 1955 then went on to LSU School of Banking. Mr. Youngblood worked for National Bank of Commerce until 1978. In 1978 he bought Johnson Truck which is now Twin Rivers Transportation. He was a long time member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church where he served on various committees. Mr. Youngblood was a member of the McAdams Quartet for 25 years, loved playing his guitar and gospel music. He loved spending time with his family, and was proud of his grandsons. He enjoyed working in the yard and loved watching Ole Miss football.  In addition to his parents, Mr. Youngblood is preceded in death by his brother- Thomas Harold Youngblood, Sr, and two sons- Ralph "Butch" Youngblood, Jr. and an infant son.

Mr. Youngblood is survived by his wife of 64 years- Peggy Carol Malone Youngblood, Columbus, Ms; daughter- Kathy (Buddy) Henry, Columbus, MS; daughter-in-law- Yuvonda Youngblood, Columbus, MS; grandchildren- Ralph Youngblood, III, Matthew Youngblood, Neal Wilkerson, and Seth Wilkerson.

Pallbearers will be Ralph Youngblood, III, Matthew Youngblood, Neal Wilkerson, Seth Wilkerson, Tom Youngblood, Robert Youngblood, Wayne Parker, and Buddy Henry.

Memorials may be made to Mr. Zion Baptist Church Building Fund 1791 Lake Lowndes Road Columbus, MS 39702.
