Ramona May Russell Ramona May Russell, 82 of Columbus, MS passed away Friday, April 29, 2011 in Columbus, MS. Visitation will be held Sunday, May 1, 2011 from 1 - 3 PM at Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS. Funeral Services will be held Monday, May 2, 2011 at 1 PM at Crestview Congregational Methodist Church, Kosciusko, MS with Bro. Jerry Meggs officiating. She will lie in state from 11 AM - 1 PM prior to the service. Interment will be in Kosciusko City Cemetery with Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS directing. Mrs. Russell was born February 17, 1929 in Kosciusko , MS to the late Denson Taylor and Ora Lee Turner Woods. She was retired from Central Office Supply with over 15 years of service. Mrs. Russell was a resident of Columbus, MS for the past 11 years, having moved from Kosciusko, MS. She loved to knit and garden, especially growing roses and worked on the mission field in Belize and was a member of Crestview Congregational Methodist Church, Kosciusko, MS. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Russell is preceded in death by her husbands - Hal Burnon Rutherford and James D. Russell; sisters - Mary Duarte and Jenna Jackson; and brother - Larry Woods; grandchildren - Linda Beth Oliver, Tamara Rene Rutherford and Tommy Ray Oliver. Mrs. Russell is survived by her children - Linda (Ron) Barham, Columbus, MS; Denny (Elsie) Rutherford, Columbus, MS; Dawn (Toby) Clausen, Columbus, MS; grandchildren - Tammy G. McCarty, Russell (Sophia) Goss, Chris (Crystal) Rutherford, Emily (Scott) Burns, Allyson Rutherford, Josh (Cassie Dillon) Clausen, Taylor Rutherford, Craig (Melanie) Barham, Dianne (Larry) Leavell; great grandchildren - Kayla (Jay) Brown, Kelsey (Chris) Perry, William Allen Rutherford, Dylan Goss, Tamron Davis, Rebecca Davis, Hannah Burns, Brittany (Kevin) McWilliams, Lindsey (Shannon) Bowles, Courtney (Matthew) Aaron, Tyler Leavell, Jared Leavell; and great-great grandchildren - Wyatt Oliver Nox Perry, Alexa Rae Brown and Preslee Rae McWilliams.
