Thurman Ray Moore, 85 passed away peacefully at his home in Starkville, MS on Thursday, November 21st 2024.

There will be no visitation or service requested by Ray.  Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS entrusted with all arrangements.

Ray was born in Shuqualak, MS. He was the son of the late Ollice T. Moore, Sr. and Elsie Watkins Moore of Shuqualak, MS. He retired from the Oktibbeha County Sheriff's Department and dedicated his life to helping others.

In addition to his parents, Ray was preceded in death by his ex-wife, Dottie Breland Moore of Laurel, MS.

Ray is survived by his sister- Carolee Hendricks of Milton, Florida; brother- Ollice T. Moore, Jr. (O.T.) (Marilyn) of Columbus, MS;  children- Tereasa Moore Parker (Keith) of Mathiston, MS,  Kenny Ray Moore of Starkville, MS, and Mary Lynn Moore Ford of Starkville, MS; 3 nieces and nephews; 6 grandchildren; and 16 great grandchildren, who truly loved him dearly.
