Renae L. Hamby, age 49, of Columbus, MS was born February 8, 1973, in Andrews, NC.  She died on August 15 ^th , 2022.  She graduated from Murphy High School and attained her RN from the Mississippi University for Women.  She wrote, "Please keep me in your thoughts and prayers as I set out on my journey to answer God's calling as a Registered Nurse".  She was the recipient of the Florence Nightingale Award for her compassion as a nurse to her patients.

She is survived by her parents, Ken and Toni Moran Lovingood of Anderson, SC; her sister – Amy (Dwight) Estep of Murphy NC; her son, and the joy of her life, Collin (Evelyn Rose) Hamby, of Caledonia, MS; and a stepdaughter – Felicity Marie of Jacksonville, FL.
